A very good way to write an Executive Summary is to write it last. After you’ve written each of the sections described above, go back and copy the most relevant sentences from each topic. String these together along with a simple summary of the net profit projection and you’ll have a good Executive Summary that should be no more than a page long. After you write the summary, read it aloud to someone who has no knowledge of the business idea. Notice how reading it out loud makes you think and feel about the concept. Is the person listening clear or confused? Pay close attention to their comments.

Continue rewriting the Executive Summary until the person listening really understands the concept based only on the summary.
